Latasha Ann Simmons 32 of Morrisville, NC passed Sunday, February 4, 2018. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Morrisville, NC burial will be in the church Cemetery.
Viewing for Miss Latasha Ann Simmons will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at Albright Funeral Home in Apex, NC from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on the day of the service
LATASHA ANN SIMMONS known as “Tasha” was born on March 13, 1985 in Raleigh, NC. Tasha was extremely brave and courageous throughout her illness and until her earthly journey ended peacefully on February 4, 2018 at Duke University Hospital.
Tasha accepted Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Morrisville, NC. Blessed with a beautiful voice and a true leader among her peers, Tasha served as president of the SMBC Youth Choir as a child, as well as on the youth usher board. Into her adulthood, Tasha continued to attend Shiloh until her illness prevented her from participating.
Tasha was a 2004 graduate of Green Hope High School and attended Durham Technical Community College to obtain her Early Education Credentials. For years, she was employed as a preschool teacher at Little Pros Academy in Morrisville before her illness prevented her from working with the little ones she loved so dearly.
As a true lover of life and never meeting a stranger, Tasha was well loved by her students, parents, co-workers and friends. Tasha was preceded in death by her grandparents Charlie and Betty Mayo, as well as her aunt Linda Smith.
Tasha leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted mother and father Ann and Michael Holland; a loving grandmother, Lucille Holland; two sisters, Kimberly Holland and Tiffany Mills; uncles and aunts, Doris Simmons (Horace), Angela Bethea, Shelton Holland, Martin Holland, Beverly Holland (Mike), Thaddeus Holland, Patricia Holloway (Clyde) ; one nephew, Major Lyons; special friends: Randy Hester, Joshua Friend, Yo-Yo, Tim Tabor and a host of cousins, other relatives and friend.
