Ernest Dexter Kelly (E.D) passed away due to complications from a stroke on 05Apr23. He was the beloved husband to Pam Christian (Cary, NC), and was the son of Myrtle and Ernest Kelly Jr (Mount Holly, NC).

E.D. was a Major in the Marine Corp and served his country in Vietnam. E.D. was awarded two Purple Hearts and nominated for a Bronze Star. He also served as infantry platoon commander and infantry company commander in the 2nd Marine Division. E.D. ended his Marine career as an instructor at OCS, Quantico, VA.

He will be forever remembered for his love of animals and great sense of humor and love of history. E.D. will be missed very much! You were deeply loved!
