Ronald Lewis Obituary

Ronald entered this life on December 11, 1949, and transitioned this earthly life on December 21, 2023, returning home to his Heavenly Father.

Ronald was born to his loving parents, the late Helen M. Lewis and the late Charles B. Wright.  He grew up in Braddock, Pennsylvania, attended Braddock public schools, and graduated from the Senior High School in 1967.

Ronald attended Boyce Community College in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, where he met his future wife, Deborah Helene Ransaw, in October 1969.  Ronald and Deborah were married on May 22, 1971, and they were never apart until the time of her death on May 21, 2023, following a brief illness.  To this union were born two wonderful daughters—Ronneka (Nikki) and Deidre.

Ronald continued his education, obtaining an Associate of Science Degree in Executive Administration from Boyce Community College January in 1970; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University in May 1978; and a Master of Divinity from Apex School of Theology in May 2001.  Ronald had an impressive professional career, including working as a Human Resources professional at Pittsburgh Lake & Erie Railroad, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Rhone Poulenc Ag Chemicals, and Flextronics International.

In July 1995, Ronald accepted the call to pastoral and outreach ministry, serving as an associate minister, praise and worship leader, and outreach minister for nearly 30 years.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memories:  daughters, Ronneka and Deidre; brothers, Charlton Lewis (Lenore) and James Wright; sisters, Brenda Peoples, Wanda Wright, and Rhonda Wright; sister-in-law, Jerilyn Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Pleasant Grove Church in Cary, North Carolina.  Visitation will begin at 10am with services to follow at 11am.  Repast will immediately follow.
