Mrs. Ruth Mercado Vega 88 of Apex, NC passed Friday, June 11, 2021. Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Mercado-Vega 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Albright Funeral Home Chapel in Apex, NC located on 500 South Salem Street. Visitation and viewing will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Albright Funeral Home Chapel followed by a private funeral service.

Our beautiful “Mami” passed on June 11, 2021 entering paradise to be in peace with our loving father and her love Camilo Sr. Together they exemplified love and compassion and provided their offspring that love and caring to share with their future generation.

Mami (Ruth Miriam Vega) was a lively spirit. Always thinking of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren first before her. She gave her heart to all in a humble and simple way. She was a feisty spirit and would be quick to tell you what she thought in real terms with no compromise, sometimes stinging you, but she was forgiving and had a heart of gold. Our “mami” will be missed but her spirit has left a mark on whoever she touched.

Ruth is survived by her children Tati (Miriam M. Leaderer) son, Quique (Camilo Enrique Vega) granddaughter Shatlia Bagley; grandson, Ryan Lederer; great-grandchildren Kamani, Greg, Bella Pele and all her beautiful family and friends who she has touched during her life on earth. She was a beautiful being who would cook up her best meals to share with her friends and loved ones always giving 150 percent. Mami’s lively spirit will always be with us. We love you forever! Travel in peace to your forever love and family. We will see you again in paradise beautiful mami, We Love You!
